IBM offers both IBM Video Streaming and Enterprise Video Streaming accounts on the IBM.com eCommerce marketplace where new customers can purchase a plan using a credit
card at any time and existing customers also have the option of requesting to purchase via
Purchase Order. In this way, customers can purchase and manage their accounts without needing
to engage with an IBM sales person or business partner. This article will give a brief overview of the plans available to purchase and cover the differences of each.

IBM Video Streaming

This is a SaaS video streaming service for live broadcast or on-demand video. Reach large audiences via open or password protected channels or easily embed video on other websites. This plan supports simultaneous live streams to multiple channels that can run 24 hours a day or longer. These plans also support live, simulated live, and on-demand streaming. IBM Enterprise Video Streaming

This is a SaaS video streaming service with added features to protect sensitive live or on-demand video content. It includes viewer authentication and access control at the channel or individual video level. It supports live, simulated live, and on-demand streaming. Additional noteworthy considerations and details to note when selecting a plan:

• Only one IBM ID (main email on the account) can be added. If multiple administrator emails is
  required, you must purchase your plan from the IBM sales representative or business partner who can customize your plan details.
• Downgrading and upgrading your plan is only possible between IBM Video Streaming plans (silver, gold or platinum) or Enterprise Video Streaming plans (enterprise silver, enterprise gold or enterprise platinum). Only plans of the same type are capable of this process.
• A Video Streaming account cannot be converted to Enterprise Video Streaming. Additionally,  Enterprise Video Streaming cannot be converted to Video Streaming.
• If you want to purchase both an IBM Video Streaming and an Enterprise Video Streaming account using the self serve options on ibm.com, then you will need to use two different email addresses to subscribe.
